Speech Bubbles

Suitable for

Keystage 1  ages 5 – 7 or up to 10 in Special Schools no more than 10 children per session


Face Front have a franchise from the London Bubble to support young children developing their speaking, listening and attention skills and enhance the skills of school staff to run small group creative work based on story telling.

It is a 24 week programme delivered over a school year. 


Each session is 1 hour to include 40 minutes with the group, 5 minutes for a child to tell their story one to one and 15 minutes to review the session with the artist and member of school staff.

Space needed

Safe, quiet, clear space for 10 children and 2 adults – working on the floor

Resources provided

Staff training X 3 sessions. Staff pack with exercises and illustrations. Cuddly toy.


1 artist/facilitator, project manager.


We have been working in West Lea Special and Fleecefield, Houndsfield, Wilbury, Oakthorpe and St.Edmunds primary schools delivering 2 sessions per week for 16 - 24 weeks in each school.

The sessions have really developed the children helping them to communicate and be creative.
