Seeking New Board Members with experience in Fundraising, Business and Legal.
Face Front Inclusive Theatre is looking for innovative and dedicated volunteers who would like to join our current Board of Trustees to be collectively responsible for ensuring good governance of our company.
New Trustees must be aged 18 years or older and, although not essential, previous experience as a Trustee is desirable.
Inclusion is foremost in our artistic vision and we create original, multi-layered theatre with a company of disabled and non-disabled artists.
We produce entertaining and challenging performances and workshops, which are carefully crafted to be accessible to all, including people with physical, sensory and learning impairments.
We work in regional theatres, schools and community venues. Our artists are all experienced professionals.
We are actively seeking people with a passion for participatory arts, have a sense of creativity, energy and time to commit!
We are keen to recruit people with specific skills and experience in:
- Business
- Legal
- Fundraising
Trustees are required to attend quarterly Board Meetings (usually evenings), occasionally attend workshops and performances and be available either by telephone or email between meetings to assist with decision-making.
Training opportunities are also available. Face Front Trustees are legally responsible for overseeing financial management and ensuring that the company complies with Charity and Company Law.
Our meetings always come with a warm welcome and refreshments. Combining guidance with experience and knowledge, Trustees can help Face Front to continue developing to become a high profile Inclusive Theatre Company within the Arts.

Freelance Fundraisers
Seeking Freelance Fundraisers.
Face Front Inclusive Theatre is looking to increase its pool of freelance Fundraisers to support our plans in 2018 and beyond. Face Front is a small theatre charity (£200k approx turnover).
Inclusion is foremost in our artistic vision and we create original, multi-layered theatre with a company of disabled and non-disabled artists.
We produce entertaining and challenging performances and workshops, which are carefully crafted to be accessible to all, including people with physical, sensory and learning impairments.
We work in regional theatres, schools and community venues. Our artists are all experienced professionals.

We have ambitious plans to fund:
- A Development Manager position (.3 days per week).
- On-going cost for our core team, Artistic Director (.4), Executive Director (.2) and General Manager (.4)
- Our five regular drama groups (including, DDM, Broken Silence, InterACTion, Age on Stage & Blue Sky Actors)
- Local & national theatre in education tours (including It’s My Move, Whisper Me Happy Ever After, Sex FM & Carbon Footprint Detective Agency)
- An annual summer ‘Face Front Festival’ at Dugdale Arts Centre Theatre
- Training Emerging Masterclasses for emerging disabled actors.
This position would be alongside the Artistic Director and Executive Director and could be based at home or at our office in Edmonton Green. Payment would be negotiated and agreed per Grant application.

Freelance Musicians/ Music Facilitators
Seeking Freelance Musicians/ Music Facilitators.
Face Front Inclusive Theatre are currently looking to expand our pool of freelance musicians/ music facilitators.
Along with our professional touring work and training, Face Front also run several inclusive and participatory arts groups for adults and young people in North and East London. The groups include disabled and neurodivergent participants who range in age and group size. Many of our groups work towards creating collaboratively devised ensemble performances that are presented in professional theatre venues.
We are looking for creative, energetic, patient, and collaborative practitioners to widen our pool of music biased facilitators.
The ideal person for this role would be able to…
-Lead participants of an inclusive arts group in vocal/warm up exercises.
-Select appropriate songs and be able teach them to groups of varying abilities
-Be able to play an accompanying instrument to a good standard to support the group musically
-Facilitate a group to be able to create their own songs if required and provide musical accompaniment for this
-Have previous experience of working within community, participatory or inclusive arts environment – or demonstrate a genuine interest and aptitude to developing their practice in this area
-Hold an Enhanced DBS no older that 2 years (or we can apply for this on your behalf)
-Be able to provide two references.
