Janine – Supported Artist
Dates
I started with Face Front in September 2018 when I was aged 20.
Projects
This year I am involved with DDM and InterACTion. We meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I really enjoy doing this because I love acting and it makes me feel confident and I am building my social skills to work with other people.
How did you find out about Face Front Inclusive Theatre?
When I was a student at Southgate College, Face Front came to perform Its my move. When they performed I thought that I would like to be involved with them and do lots of acting. I had a friend working there and they spoke to me about everything. It made me think that I could do it because it sounded interesting.
What Face Front Projects have you been involved in?
I volunteer every Wednesday with DDM. I also volunteer with InterACTion on Thursdays.
How has being a Supported Artist helped you develop?
It has given me lots of opportunity to build my social and theatre skills. It has definitely built my confidence to work hard. It is a really good opportunity for me to perform and to have responsibility because acting is my passion.
What are you doing now?
I am continuing to build my skills through volunteering with DDM and InterACTion. I am also volunteering with New Horizons.
What would you like to do in the future?
I want to do more acting to build my confidence and social skills and I would like to have a career in the theatre.
