Face Front Wins Award for Mental Health

Face Front is very excited to announce that our community groups and outreach work have won ‘Most Innovative Proactive Wellbeing Activity’ at this year’s prestigious Mental Health Awards.

Face Front’s CEO, Ray Downing, attended a lavish ceremony at the Penta Hotel in Reading on Thursday 9th October, where he collected the award in front of a host of incredible charities who all work to support mental health.

The ‘Most Innovative Proactive Wellbeing Activity Award’ celebrates innovative wellbeing interventions or activities that have had a positive impact over at least two years. Ray dedicated the award to Face Front’s original co-founder, Jon French, who sadly died last year.

Ray said: ‘Attending this event was both humbling and inspirational. The award was a real team effort, and we pay tribute to the endless talents and hard work of our staff and freelancers, as well as the sheer joy and enthusiasm of our participants and their support circles.’

Hosted by the charming actor and activist Charlie Condou, the Mental Health Awards are described as ‘A celebration of successful interventions and inspirational stories of people who have experienced recovery. Since 2019, organisations, services and individuals have been awarded for their relentless work toward making a difference in their communities. These awards symbolise hard work and heart-felt devotion.’

Special thanks go to Rachel Bradbear who nominated us for this award.
