FACE FRONT IS EDMONTON GREEN’S CHARITY OF THE YEAR

EDMONTON GREEN SUPPORT LOCAL CHARITY

Edmonton Green is proud to announce that they are supporting and raising funds for Face Front charity.

Face Front is a local charity who create interactive, ground-breaking inclusive theatre to address important social issues and educate local schools and the public. The charity was founded nearly 20 years ago and relies entirely on grants and donations.

Face Front creates theatre that pioneers social change for an inclusive world with performers of all abilities. The charity helps those who aren’t traditionally involved in performing arts through training and creating pathways to employment in this industry.

They also run three programmes, including: Theatre in Schools, Act the Part and Training. Each programme offers engaging and accessible theatre on everyday issues such as; domestic abuse, sex and relationships and bullying. The workshops are aimed at improving the general public’s emotional well-being and helping them to lead an active, healthy, positive life through artistic excellence.

A representative from Face Front Charity, commented: “Having been based in Edmonton Green for almost 20 years, we are very excited to be nominated Charity of The Year. As a local charity, the communities of Edmonton Green are at the heart of what we do. We look forward to working with the centre, local partners, schools and groups for at least 20 more years.” Our shows and activities transform the lives of disadvantaged people, improving emotional well-being and addressing social injustice.

Edmonton Green’s Interim Centre Manager, Sabri Marsaoui, commented: “The team at Edmonton Green are extremely proud to be working in conjunction with Face Front. We hope to raise huge amounts of awareness and funds as well as being as supportive as possible. We encourage everyone to dig deep and donate to such a commendable cause.”
