Walking the Pennine Way again
This year my friend Steve Bell and I will continue walking the Pennine Way. We started walking this national trail for just a few days each year in 2012 and have now completed more than 50% of the trail. Last year, we raised over £700 for Face Front by walking about 48 miles from Middleton-in-Teesdale to Hadrian’s Wall. This July we’re attempting 3 miles from Haworth, Yorkshire to Hawes Yorkshire. This stretch includes a steep ascent to the 2,277 feet summit of Pen-y-Ghent so we’ll need to get fit before then. We couldn’t do this without the support of Gill Bell and Marilyn Andreetti – our wives – who though not keen walkers will drive us to the start and finish on each of the three days we’ve set aside for this.
Please support us if you can, we’ll let you know how we get on
