Face Front Inclusive Theatre launches CLICfest 2022
This summer, CLICfest will be bringing together the best of London’s community theatre groups – a one-stop website for theatre and community arts. The CLICfest website launches on the 17th June and runs until 11th September 2022, highlighting the best of inclusive performances, workshops and theatre activities.
Already featuring Mind The Gap, SAVVY Theatre, Turtle Key Arts and many more, new partners are being added to the site every day. CLIC (Connecting London’s Inclusive Communities) fest aims to raise awareness of the incredible range of inclusive and participatory theatre taking place in and around London, bringing in new audiences.
Throughout the festival, the CLICfest (Clicfest.org), will showcase the latest films and theatre by multiple community groups. Funded by the Arts Council England and The National Lottery Community Fund, the website will also feature event news and listings.
CLICfest Producer, Lauren Phillips, said:
“There’s so much incredible inclusive work in London. CLICfest 2022 is a fantastic way to bring it to new audiences, and to create stronger connections between the groups themselves.”
Festival organisers, Face Front Inclusive Theatre, hope the CLICfest website will go on to become a key resource for inclusive arts groups throughout London. It will be the first website of its kind to focus entirely on community theatre in the capital.
Executive Director of Face Front and Inclusive Theatre pioneer, Jon French said:
“Following the success of CLICfest 2021, the aim is for the website is to evolve into a listings platform for inclusive and participatory theatre, boosting community engagement with the arts right across London.”
